The Sapphires of Phi Delta Psi Fraternity, Inc.
were founded in 1979 in order to assist the brothers in accomplishing desired goals and objectives. The first ever Sapphire
to be initiated into the organization was Ms. Ethel "Lady Phi" Rambis on a line of 25 young women seeking change...

we are undoubtebly the most beautiful jewels chosen to be Sapphires by the brothers of Phi Delta Psi. Our dedication, commitment
and support has always been an inspiration to our big brothers.
We take a pledge to be sisters forever, and to always
uphold the values and traditions of the sacred organization in which we are a part of.
Sapphires do not call each
other sands, because we do not cross sands. Instead, we call our line sisters ..."Flames." We do not call each other soror's, because
we are not a sorority. However, we are still sisters, so we simply call each other "sis..."
